Private Physiotherapy at Our Folkestone Clinic
If your back has been painful for longer than you expected, your shoulder catches when you reach up, your knee has not felt right since a twist, or you are finding it harder to move with confidence, it can help to have it properly assessed.
Physios ’R’ Us provides private physiotherapy at our Folkestone clinic on Manor Road. We see adults with muscle and joint pain, sports injuries, balance problems, dizziness, reduced mobility and rehabilitation needs after surgery, illness or a hospital stay.
We can also see children and teenagers with muscle and joint problems, including sports injuries, sprains, strains and joint pain. They should attend with a parent or another adult with parental responsibility.
Our physiotherapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
At your first appointment, we will listen to what has been happening, look at how you are moving and talk through what may be contributing to the problem. We will explain things clearly, discuss the options with you and usually begin treatment during the same appointment where appropriate.
Your treatment plan will depend on your assessment, your symptoms and what you need to get back to. You can usually book directly without needing a GP referral.
What We Can Help With
Treatment Available at Our Folkestone Clinic
There is no single treatment that works for every problem. What is useful for one person may not be right for another. Your treatment plan will be based on your assessment, your symptoms and what you are hoping to get back to.

Referrals, Insurance and Appointment Times
You can usually book a private physiotherapy appointment directly without a GP referral.
If you are paying for your own treatment, you can contact us directly to book. If you are using private medical insurance, please check your policy and speak to us before booking, as some insurers need authorisation or a referral before treatment starts.
Evening and Saturday appointments may be available, subject to clinician availability.
If we feel you need a scan, medical review, specialist opinion or another type of support, we will discuss this with you. With your permission, we can communicate with your GP, consultant or another healthcare professional where needed.
When to Seek Urgent Medical Advice
Physiotherapy is not a substitute for urgent medical assessment.
Please seek urgent medical help rather than wait for a routine appointment if you have chest pain, severe shortness of breath, sudden facial weakness, difficulty speaking, sudden changes in vision or symptoms following a significant injury.
You should also seek urgent advice if you have back or leg pain with new changes to bladder or bowel control, numbness around the genitals, buttocks or inner thighs, or rapidly worsening weakness in your legs.
